The 3rd Annual National Underwear Day is to be celebrated on August 10th, sponsored by Freshpair.com reports prnewswire.com.

Freshpair has found that when it comes to underwear, men still like to
keep it brief. Thirty-two percent of those polled by the company said they
favor briefs, compared to 28 percent who wear boxer briefs, and 25 percent who
don boxers, while 8 percent who go with thongs or other styles. And yes, that
leaves 7 percent who, by choice, do without underwear.

Panties are preferred by 49 percent of the women polled, with thongs a
distant second at 28 percent. Another 13 percent go with boyshorts, while 4
percent wear other styles. Some 6 percent opt out of wearing anything down
under.

Was W. Mark Felt, who has been revealed to have been Deep Throat, "a hero for helping the truth come out, or a turncoat who betrayed his government, his president and the FBI he revered by leaking to the press?," ask Dan Balz and R. Jeffrey Smith
in the Washington Post.

My answer would be "turncoat." As second in command at the FBI, Felt should not have been leaking confidential information to the press. It has been suggested by some that part of Felt's motivation was a hope that Nixon would be kicked out and Felt would become FBI director. Hardly a heroic motivation.

And now Felt at age 91 has dubious mental capacity. Is the story coming out now because his daughter and other relatives with to make some money?

Has he committed crimes for which he should lose his pension? And what about the lawyer who wrote the article for Vanity Fair? Is he disclosing confidential communications from a client who is not competent to authorize the disclosure? I don't know, but maybe the questions should be asked. I certainly regard Felt as noboby to be applauded.

"We're left with a picture of an ambitious, media-savvy attorney/writer; a daughter who very much wants to disclose her father's secret; and a profile subject who doesn't seem to be all there," writes Richard Bradley at the Huffington Post.
